Nintendo released a comparison shot of BOTW (bottom) vs. TOTK (top)

As we can see the Tears of the Kingdom graphics got some fine tuning. It looks like the designers gave the rocks some more detailing, as well as some more attention to Link’s character.

Though, overall the same art style is very much present. It’s also worth noting that this comparison image of Tears of the Kingdom, released by Nintendo could be from the rumored Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch.

Will there be new amiibo?

Yes! Great question. And I’m happy to share that Nintendo has already announced a new Amiibo figure of Link for Tears of the Kingdom.

While we aren’t sure what the amiibo will come with in game, it is pictured on the Best Buy website.

We can surmise that like the BOTW amiibo’s, that there will be some exclusive in-game unlockables for Tears of the Kingdom. It could be different weapons, outfits or even a secret house!

Typically, I have found amiibo’s a nice addition to most Nintendo games.

Does Tears of the Kingdom take place in Hyrule?

Yes, it does! However it’s crucial to note that with the ability to fly in TOTK, there will be floating islands located above Hyrule.

So, picture yourself walking around in Hyrule from BOTW, and look up! There will be cool floating mountain-like structures with new land to explore.

Yes, it does take place in Hyrule but with lots of uncharted territory to explore. And it’s also worth noting that the story could take place before or after BOTW, meaning that a lot of the land or structures could be different.

Who knows, maybe there will be snow in parts of the map where there used to be sand!

What is included in the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition?

Another great question! The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition will come with:
  • Four pin badges
  • A comprehensive art and design book
  • SteelBook® case
  • Physical copy of the game for Switch/OLED Switch
  • And a Iconart Steel poster

The Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition will cost $129.99 and it can be ordered from Best Buy.

Does TOTK have pre-order bonuses?

If you don’t intend on ordering the Collector’s Edition, you may opt to do a standard Tears of the Kingdom pre order.

IF you preorder TOTK from gamestop, you’ll get an awesome exclusive wooden plaque to go along with your game.

Thanks, Gamestop!

Will there be a Tears of the Kingdom Switch?

Last but not least, the rumor everyone wants confirmation from!

It’s looking like there will indeed be a TOTK OLED Switch releasing along with the game.

As you can see from the leaked images, the rumored new OLED switch looks pretty sweet!

If you’re like me and haven’t upgraded from the original Switch, this may be the time to do it.

So, what are you most excited for in TOTK?
